The fifth International Onion and Carrot Conference and Exhibition will be held from November 21-22 this year.
The two-day event will take place at the East of England Showground in Peterborough and the shadow minister for agriculture and rural affairs, James Paice MP, will present the key address.
Sponsored by Elsoms Seeds, Bejo Zaden and Syngenta, the event will cover an onion programme on the first day with key technical presentations and overseas perspectives, as well as market perspectives and consumer trends.
The second day will be dedicated to carrots and will address a number of topical issues, such as managing weeds after the withdrawal of most of the main established herbicides and climate change.
The conference will conclude with a cookery demonstration from celebrity chef Rachel Green.
