An Anglo-Dutch conference focusing on the challenges and opportunities around food waste throughout the supply chain will take place next month.
Organised by the Dutch Embassy in collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation (EL&I), the event will aim to tackle the question of how to reduce the €180 billion of food wasted every year.
Speakers at the event will include European commissioner Janez Potocnik; Ladislav Miko, deputy director general of the EC; Tim Lang, professor of food policy at City University; Hans Hoogeveen, director general at EL&I; Thomas Jelley, corporate citizenship manager at Sodexo; Ian Booth, technical director at Reynolds; and Asda's corporate sustainability manager Sarah Belmont.
The conference takes place at Europe House, London on 7 November.
