Cambridge based Anglia Business Solutions has announced a further 33 per cent increase in turnover during 2004. In addition, the company posted a 34 per cent rise in operating profits, to £450,000 for the year.

“During 2004, Anglia experienced strong growth in the provision of Microsoft Navision based business management solutions to supply chain organizations,” said managing director David Hurley. “In addition, our 2003 investments in .NET based application developments paid significant dividends for our customers during the year. This enabled them to trade on line and provide remote workers with mobile access to critical business information. These innovations provided customers with significant productivity improvements as well as using IT as a competitive aid in their market sectors.

“We also made a very successful entry into the fresh produce sector with our Microsoft Navision based LinkFresh vertical application. This fast growing industry faces unique challenges as it struggles to cope with the increased demands of the major retail multiples coupled with changes in legislation. The Microsoft Navision and .NET platform coupled with the fresh produce application skills of our consultants were instrumental in winning significant contracts with some of the UK’s leading fresh produce companies.”

The company expects significant further expansion during 2005, having increased headcount by 20 per cent with a recruitment intake campaign in January alone.
