Ambitious plans for Seasonal Berries

Seasonal Berries has outlined its objectives for the 2009-10 season and has pledged to promote berries and their health benefits over the winter months, drive the continuing growth of blueberries and blackberries and address the quality perception of early Spanish strawberries and raspberries.

The soft-fruit campaign is to focus its winter campaign on key health messages for each berry, which will be identified with the help of nutritionist Juliette Kellow and communicated using a series of printed press materials and photography.

This will be followed by a media event in February to highlight early Spanish strawberries and raspberries, with emphasis on varieties and production methods in Spain.

The main campaign objectives will be supported by key date activity, including media mailers and press releases issued for core times such as January detoxes, Valentine’s Day and Easter.

The winter campaign highlights blackberries from Mexico, blueberries from Chile, Argentina and Uruguay, and raspberries and strawberries from Spain, as well as Morocco and Egypt.
