A group of 31 producers and exporters in the southern Spanish region of Almeria are joining together under a new quality and food-safety label: Guarantee Securitam. The label is based on compliance with EU regulation UNE1550012001 and Eurep Gap covering labour and agricultural best practice as well as traceability.
The new label will be launched in time for the winter vegetable season in September.
