The 2007-2008 PMA board of directors took office on October 11. Chairman of the board Bruce Taylor, chairman and ceo, Taylor Farms California, Inc, Salinas, California is joined by three other officers and 23 directors.

PMA president Bryan Silbermann said: “We are fortunate to have Bruce’s experience and dedication harnessed to lead our [board]. As a fourth-generation produce professional, entrepreneur, and long time member volunteer, Bruce demonstrates a total commitment to building the future of the produce industry. It’s going to be an exciting year with Bruce at the helm.”

PMA officers also include chairman-Elect Dave Corsi, Wegmans Food Markets; secretary/treasurer Bill Schuler, Castellini Company; and chairman of the executive committee Peter Goulet, Pinnacle Sales & Marketing, Inc. Other directors of the association include: retail division chairman Michael O’Brien, Schnuck Markets; foodservice chairman Mikel Weber, Golden Corral Corporation; and the sole British representative, Andrew Sharp, Mack Multiples. Silbermann serves on the board in an ex-officio capacity.

The PMA Executive Committee for 2007-2008 will consist of Goulet, Taylor, Corsi, Schuler, John Anderson, the Oppenheimer group, Canada, Rob Robson, One Harvest, Australia, and Silbermann.
