The quality seal for Argentinian export lemons, All Lemon Tested & Certified For Export, has started the 2013 campaign, which marks its fourth season in managing the market.
This year, exporters have reported a “normal” volume of fruit to meet the demands of different destinations and All Lemon is ramping up its inspection regime to ensure fruit under its label meets plant-health and quality specifications for its different export markets.
The EU, Russia and the Middle and Far East markets are the main recipients.
Fernando Seoane, president of All Lemon, said: “All Lemon continues to work closely on daily quality controls at 22 packing lines of the 16 companies audited by the seal. This arduous task is performed from a quality protocol created with the advice of independent professionals with experience in the food directorate of the secretariat for food and rural affairs from Tucuman and the ministry of production of Tucuman.”
Last season, All Lemon raised these quality standards higher to improve the selection of export production. 'Caring for these great qualities is the aim to further consolidating our position as leaders in the present and long term,” said Carlos Parravicini, general manager of Argenti Lemon, one of the companies audited.
