German hard discounter Aldi is reportedly set to make big moves in the UK market.
The group is aiming to open some 30 new stores and extend its existing outlets and warehouses in the next year, creating around 3,000 new jobs.
These jobs will include more than 100 posts for graduates.
"This year, Aldi has also launched a National Apprentice Scheme, working in partnership with local colleges, to create 200 jobs within stores nationwide," said Richard Holloway, head of graduate recruitment at Aldi.
The news comes at an exciting time for Aldi after Kantar data recently revealed that the discounter now controls 3.2 per cent of overall fresh produce sales, an overtrade of 0.3 percentage points.
