Agronomy advice and crop protection distributor Agrovista UK Limited will be running a series of training events this winter aimed at farmers, growers and sprayer operators.

The events will comprise the annual farmer-operator training courses in support of the National Register of Sprayer Operators (NRoSO) scheme and will be based on “Sprayers, Stores and Buffers”. The course is aimed at helping farmers and operators look at spraying safely and legally and considering maintenance of their machine with regard to the National Sprayer Testing Scheme (NSTS) test, as well as storage of agrochemical products, and the application and benefits of using buffer zones.

Chris Glover of Agrovista said: “The winter training has become a regular feature in the calendar of most farmers and every year we are seeing more delegates as farmers and operators are keen to keep up to date with the ever-changing requirements when considering storing and using pesticides. As in previous years, our course will be based on the standard industry course but with additional material from our own technical and agronomy experience and data.”

NRoSO and BASIS CPD points will be awarded to those attending and there will be a small charge for delegates. The courses will be run throughout the UK, and will be starting in November.
