Exotic mushrooms will be among the draws at the Israeli fair

The Innovations Pavilion at the 20th Agro-Mashov exhibition in Israel is set to be bursting with new developments in produce, including exotic mushrooms, garlic for “lazy cookers” and a new "caramel" fruit.

The annual show, taking place on January 13-14 at the Fairs and Conventions Center in Tel-Aviv, will present the latest agricultural innovations in the pavilion.

The mini-garlic for “lazy cookers” is grown by Oshri Asher and has been developed especially for cooks wishing to skip peeling.

Tzafon R&D has developed exotic mushrooms, including the organic black mushroom Pioppino, which has its roots in the Far East and will be on display alongside the caramel-flavoured Sapodilla fruit, said to be similar to a date.

The show will also display innovations in new potatoes, courgettes, mini courgettes and aubergine.

The exhibition programme also includes several symposiums on topical subjects and expects delegations from all over the world, including Turkey, Palestinian Authority, Ethiopia, Kenya, Italy, China and England.
