The 19th Agro-Mashov trade show, or the International Summit for Vegetables, Fruits and Flower Marketing (VFF), will take place on January 14-15, 2009 at the Israel Trade Fairs & Conventions Center in Tel Aviv.

The fair will bring together global companies with the newest developments in agricultural technology, packaging, irrigation and water infrastructure, innovations in plant growth and greenhouses, seed producers, nurseries, water recycling, plant beds, chemical and organic fertilisers, plant protection materials, the latest trends in agro-mechanics and tractors, information on crop marketing and agricultural training programmes.

The Greenhouse Conference will address the latest developments in greenhouse technologies for the Mediterranean climate. The discussion will also focus on breeding, propagation and production techniques of crops suitable for growing under the conditions of the Mediterranean climate; greenhouse crop diagnostics, automating irrigation systems, climate control, heating, radiation solutions, etc.

VFF will also have a symposium running alongside the fair, which this year will focus on the consumer. Topics addressed will include: how to market your products; how to approach, fit and respond to the commercial strategies of the retailers; how to use research and development effectively; what constitutes a winning product? ; and what will be the future of the global trade in organic fresh produce?
