Agrexco has agreed to continue for a second year as a category sponsor at the Re:fresh Awards.
The company will present the award of Carmel Foodservice Supplier of the Year 2006 on May 11.
UK general manager Amos Orr said: “As we thought, this sector is getting stronger; foodservice is playing a significant role in the industry. The requirements in consistency, time tables and quality are as stringent as those from the multiples and it is a great challenge for us to comply with these demands. Foodservice continues to look for a wider range of items. In truth we had not anticipated this sector becoming so highly developed and as a result give us the opportunity to also further develop the business.
“We are happy to sponsor this category as we at Carmel Agrexco believe that this market is far from saturation point and that there are many opportunities still open.”
