You might not have been, but the Fresh Produce Journal was at AGF Totaal this week

The organisers of this week’s AGF Totaal have put a positive spin on a show that reduced significantly in size since its last edition.

The show, which took place on Monday to Wednesday, is expected to report visitor and exhibitor number reductions on the 2003 event, when it was claimed that more than 15,000 visitors passed through Ahoy Rotterdam. However, organisers said: “While the number of exhibitors may have decreased, the attendants of the AGF Totaal 2005 exhibition seem to show a back-to-the-roots tendency, with a focus on traders at the expense of suppliers, related businesses and services.”

“With a core audience of exhibitors and visitors from the produce sector, the majority of Dutch fresh produce traders are giving their ‘acte de presence’ at the exhibition.”

This has improved the event, added AGF, “as it is effectively giving the result the produce sector is aiming for; to meet colleagues, clients and suppliers, to profile their companies and to introduce new products.”
