ADAS has announced that it will launch a series of events for growers and their associates to examine the new NVZ proposals.

The talks, organised as part of the Defra-funded Environment Sesitive Farming project, are entitled ‘Fertiliser and Manure Management with particular reference to the new NVZ proposals’.

The events will be free, and will provide an opportunity to plan fertiliser use and manure management for this and future seasons.

Topics to be covered will include the proposed changes to the NVZ requirements relevant to fertiliser and manure management, assessing crop nutrient requirements, nutrients supplied by applied manures and the soil itself, manures storage and handling, cover crops, and the PLANET and MANNER nutrient planning software systems.
