Aconbury is recalling more of its Organic Mixed and Organic Rainbow Salad, as well as certain batches of Organic Mung Bean Sprouts, because the products are contaminated with salmonella.
The Food Standards Agency has issued an updated product recall information notice to replace that original notice issued on 16 February.
The following products with the use-by dates listed below are being recalled: Aconbury Sprouts Organic Mixed Sprouts, 200g; Aconbury Sprouts Organic Rainbow Salad, 200g; Aconbury Sprouts Organic Mung Bean Sprouts, 200g. The following use-by dates are recalled: 2 March, 5 March, 9 March, 12 March, 16 March 2011.
The company is recalling the affected products. Retailers and wholesalers that have been supplied by Aconbury Sprouts are being contacted by the company, and told why the products have been recalled and actions that should be taken. These actions include telling consumers why the products have been recalled.
No other Aconbury Sprouts products are known to be affected.
