The annual meeting place for players in the global crop protection industry - the BCPC Exhibition - looks set to attract another record-breaking number of visitors, according to its organisers.

The 2007 Crop Science & Technology Conference will run alongside the XVI International Plant Protection Congress at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Glasgow, from October 15-17.

The two-and-a-half-day show offers suppliers of products and services to the global crop production and protection industries the ideal environment to promote their areas of operation, according to its organisers.

A number of half and one-day specialist seminars will be held alongside the congress for the first time this year.

Exhibitors will include contract research, manufacture and formulation, agrochemical active ingredients, plant nutrients, sprayers, application equipment, and information services and systems.

Two-thirds of the stands are already reserved, and a number of new exhibitors - promoting packaging, chemical intermediates and biological control - have already taken stands.

More than a dozen countries will be represented.

Dr John Schol, project manager at global contract research organisation RCC Ltd, which has exhibited at the show, said: “The event is always very well organised and it has always proved a valuable conference for us as clients are prepared to come wherever it is located.

“The BCPC hospitality suites are also near to the Congress and Exhibition venue, so clients can speak in confidence - which makes it much more likely you will get new business.”

Entrance to the exhibition is free of charge.
