More than £11 million worth of cocaine has been delivered to 13 Aldi stores across Germany hidden among boxes of bananas, the BBC has reported.
The drugs arrived at the German port of Hamburg from Colombia, according to police, before they were accidentally diverted to the discounter.
Staff discovered the packets of cocaine wrapped between bananas as they unpacked the fruit, local paper Berliner Morgenpost reported.
The news follows a similar incident in January, when £5m of cocaine turned up in the same place. And in October last year police in Germany found a large shipment of heroin in a vehicle transporting cucumbers and garlic from Iran.
