A year-long journey through the global fresh produce supply chain culminates in Rimini on 6-8 May
Macfrut is much more than a trade fair: it’s a 365-day journey through the global fruit and vegetable supply chain, culminating in its meeting point from Tuesday 6 May to Thursday 8 May 2025 at the Rimini Expo Centre.
The 42nd edition of Macfrut will transcend the traditional concept of a trade fair, becoming a strategic platform for business, knowledge, and networking.
It will be the meeting point for operators, buyers, researchers, and institutions from around the world, with an agenda full of high-value content.
A fair in continuous growth
The 2025 edition will be its largest and most international ever. The exhibition space will increase by 6 per cent, surpassing last year’s already impressive figures. More than 1,400 exhibitors are expected, 40 per cent of which will come from abroad, along with more than 1,500 top international buyers. The event’s entire organisational machine is focused on facilitating effective connections, also thanks to a digital platform that allows B2B meetings to be scheduled in advance. These numbers confirm the strength of a trade fair format that looks to the future with a global vision.
Macfrut 2025 stands out for its agenda full of events and thematic halls. Among the main ones, the International Potato Symposium will explore the challenges and opportunities of the potato supply chain, the iconic product of this edition.
The International Symposium on Biotechnological Tools in Horticulture, organized in collaboration with ISHS and the Polytechnic University of Marche, will see the participation of the world’s leading experts in the field for a meeting between plant biotechnology research and the production chain. The Biosolutions International Event, a hall dedicated to natural solutions for plant protection and nutrition, will focus on smart technologies for sustainability.
The Plant Nursery Area, the beating heart of the nursery industry, will feature the VIP – Varieties International Project, a series of workshops on genetic improvement and new varieties in modern fruit growing. Finally, a new feature this year: The Healthy Food Show, an experiential arena that highlights the values of healthy and sustainable eating, blending science, cuisine, and entertainment.
