Nominations have opened this week for the annual Brammy Awards.

The Brammys recognise and reward excellence in using and promoting Bramley apples and the judges will be looking for a number of qualities from the winning businesses, giving special consideration this year to those that have shown outstanding commitment and support to the Bramley’s bicentenary.

The categories for the Bicentenary Brammy Awards are: Best Manufacturer of a Bramley Product - Sweet; Best Manufacturer of a Bramley Product - Savoury; Best Bramley Retailer; and Best Bramley Foodservice Company.

The best retailer will be recognised for their in-store support for fresh Bramley apples, while the award for best foodservice company will be based on excellent and consistent use of Bramley apples within a number of dishes.

Winners in the manufacturer categories will need to produce high-quality, innovative Bramley apple products.

The deadline to enter the competition is June 5.
