Report: why consumers buy healthy products

Campden and Chorleywood Food Research Association Group has published a new review to shed light on what influences consumers to choose ‘healthy eating’ products.

Entitled: Consumers’ approach to eating healthily: key drivers, barriers and other factors affecting food choice, the report is designed to help companies involved in the development, reformulation, production and marketing of healthy eating products.

It considers definitions of healthy foods and looks at reasons why consumers choose such foods, as well as what barriers discourage consumers from picking them up.

Backing its findings up, the report includes market research and scientific and other literature.
