Fruit Logistica has revealed which products and services are in the running to be crowned the best innovation of the past 12 months.

Experts from across the fresh fruit and vegetable business have whittled down the submissions to just 10 contenders.

Campo Rico, Spain: Roasted sweet potato

Healthy Foods, USA: Yonanas healthy frozen treat maker - makes ice cream from frozen fruit

McCarter, Czech Republic: Pineapple juice with fruit pieces

Pattruss Inc., Japan: Pattruss Z (Zed) - resealable salad bag

The innovations will be presented in a special display area to more than 56,000 trade visitors at Fruit Logistica 2012 in Berlin from 8 to 10 February.

Trade fair visitors can vote on the first two days of the event for the innovation of the year.

The winner of the coveted prize will be announced during the trade fair at an award ceremony on Friday, 10 February 2012.
