The Co-operative Food is introducing new stir-fry products into its ‘Loved by us’ range for January 2014.
The products incorporate two new complete stir-fry kits, which contain a selection of fresh stir-fry vegetables, noodles and a sauce, along with two new stir-fry vegetable selections.
These is a crunchy option with cabbage, beansprouts, carrot, red onion, broccoli florets, courgette and babycorn, and a edamame bean and red pepper stir-fry, which also includes beansprouts, carrot, savoy cabbage, spring greens, sugar snap peas, white cabbage, red onion and baby spinach.
The ‘Loved by us’ range now also boasts a Tenderstem stir-fry, comprising the broccoli variety, green pak-choi, and red chillies.
Siobhan Thornbury, category buyer at The Co-operative, said: “Stir-fries are a fresh tasting and vibrant way to help you on your way to your 5 A DAY, and our new and improved range provides great meal solutions for busy shoppers who are looking for a quick and tasty dinner for that day.
“Stir fries are the ultimate in healthy fast food as the vegetables are cut thinly, which means they cook quickly in a hot wok with little or no oil, and nutrients are preserved.”
The Co-operative’s new ‘Loved by us’ brand has been introduced as part of its aim to provide customers with nutritious food conveniently.
The new lines are available from Co-operative Food stores nationwide from 1 January.
