Harrods is to join forces with the Royal Thai Embassy to celebrate the gastronomy of Thailand and its culture throughout May.

The London store's food halls will be fully stocked with Thai ingredients, dishes and special menus from the famous Patara and Blue Elephant restaurants, available at selected Harrods restaurants.

The food halls will showcase all the Thai essentials needed to create key dishes and provide sought-after fresh ingredients such as Holy basil, Koi Choi flowers, banana leaves and Thai mango, along with special products such as an exclusive Blue Elephant Thai Noodle Cooking Set, crystallised Thai ginger and lemongrass dressing.

Throughout the month, the exuberant Thai culture will be brought to life throughout the store, with special demonstrations and activities such as fruit carving, Thai dancing and a sugar work creation on display in the Thailand Exhibition windows.

Within the food halls, experts will also be on hand to help shoppers discover the unique selection of Thai ingredients and dishes available and to share their culinary knowledge and secret cooking tips firsthand.
