Michel Roux Jr in new AB ad

Michel Roux Jr hosts BBC2's Masterchef

Potato grower Albert Bartlett’s autumn television advertising campaign will feature the Russet, Apache and Rooster branded varieties and star chefs Andrew Fairlie and Michel Roux Jr.

The 30-second and 10-second adverts will run from 28 October until 23 December, and will be supported by print versions in Good Housekeeping, Red, Prima and national weekend supplements.

Albert Bartlett’s managing director Paul Parkins said it was an honour to have the two chefs as brand ambassadors. He added: 'Andrew Fairlie is renowned as one of the best chefs in the world, and has helped us create some truly inspirational recipes for families across the UK.And as the son of Michelin-starred chef Albert Roux, Michel Roux Jr was brought up loving good food. He’s now one of Britain’s most famous chefs, and his recipes and experience have gained him a significant following on our website.”

Both chefs own Michelin-starred restaurants, and have worked with Albert Bartlett for more than ten years. A previous television advertising campaign for the company using Desperative Housewives’ star Marcia Cross saw brand penetration reach 16 per cent and market share double to 5 per cent.
