Judging concluded on July 15 and the prize of best Bramley multiple retailer was taken by Waitrose. The store also won the category for the best family pie while Lime Tree Pantry lifted the savoury product title for its pork, cider and Bramley pie. The best innovation award was granted to Farmhouse Fare for a Bramley & mincemeat Eve's pudding. Meanwhile, Phil Vickery stole the title for top media chef and pastry chef Claire Clark of The Wolseley won the chairman's award. The best Bramely recipe writer was BBC Good Food magazine and the best catering organization, Sodexho.

The awards are run in association with The Grocer and recognize achievement in sales and promotion of the nation's favourite cooking apple over the past year.

"We are always amazed at the diversity of Bramley products available to the customer, and this year the entries reflected that," said Ian Mitchell, chairman of the Bramley Campaign. "Yet again the media has done a fantastic job supporting the campaign and helping to ensure that Bramley remains relevant to the modern day consumer."
