Waitrose is highlighting British-sourced strawberries and raspberries, cherries - when they come into season in about a fortnight - and some high volume tomato lines, with a new tray talker.
The talkers, introduced in-store on June 14, are designed to clip onto the corner of any IFCO tray, the reusable green plastic crate which travels directly between packer and branch to reduce handling. Talkers will be applied at the packhouse.
The aim is to combine the effect of Waitrose publications and packaging, giving customers a clear message on the shelf.
