UK-based veg handling manufacturer Tong Engineering has bolstered their project management team with two new additions.
Dave Clarke and Elliot Stones will be join a growing team which managing director Edward Tong says will help meet expansion requirements and manage increasingly complex installations.
Dave Clarke has over 23 years of experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, completing roles for manufacturers and end-user companies within the automation, robotics and food industries. Since joining Tong in 2015, Dave has been responsible for all aspects of electrical design and support, overseeing several large-scale Tong project installations.
Clarke said: “My growing involvement with our more complex projects meant a move into a more dedicated project management role was a natural step for me. I am excited to join the project management team within such an established company that retains family values of integrity, loyalty and reliability at its heart.”
Stones began his engineering career after gaining his degree in Industrial Design and Manufacture at Loughborough University. He joined Tong’s design department in 2013, working on 3D design and product development, before increasing his relations with Tong customers at the technical design stage.
“Innovative design and site-based project management can be critical to delivering projects that bring real efficiencies, on time and within budget. As a project management team, we take pride in understanding our customer’s requirements to the finest detail, and ensuring the smooth-running of each project, with minimal disruption to current processes,” Stones says.
Tong said the company is taking an increasing number of projects due to equipment advances with greater scale or complexity.
“With this in mind, we have expanded our project management team in order to maintain the very best customer service, support and attention to detail at every stage of the production process,” Tong said.
