The general management of Dutch fresh produce marketer The Greenery has confirmed the departure of three of its top executives, amid rumours that they no longer agreed with the commercial strategy being taken by the company.

In a statement seen by Eurofruit Magazine, the group announced that Leon Bol (director of sales), Jelte van Kammen (director of Dutch sourcing) and Martin van der Sande (commercial director for sourcing) had reached a mutual agreement with The Greenery to "terminate their cooperation".

The statement continued: "For the time being, Philip Smits, general manager of The Greenery, will be the contact for the directors of the sales units and Eric Lagerweij (director of sourcing for imports) for the Netherlands sourcing department."

Meanwhile, The Greenery's current logistics manager Stan de Ridder is set take charge of operations at the group's Barendrecht II, Bleiswijk and Maasland distribution centres.

"The general management thanks Leon, Jelte and Martin for their valued effort for The Greenery and wishes them all the best for the future," the company added. "The Greenery will be working to find permanent replacements in the coming period. We will keep you informed of any developments."
