The Greenery UK has appointed a data analysis manager to monitor and report on trends in the UK consumer market.

Alex Smith will be working alongside commercial managers who liaise with major UK supermarkets, providing insight into the sales of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and salad categories in the stores.

He will also be looking to explain trends and identify major factors in product performance and consumer purchasing behaviour.

Smith said: “I am thrilled to join The Greenery and to help drive the business forward with its retail customers. The fruit and vegetable market is consumer led and any insight into existing and potential purchasing behaviour is a benefit to The Greenery and the retailers it supplies.”
