Brasher will begin work as ceo in March

Tesco has reshuffled its UK management team and has a new commercial director for food.

Tesco’s ceo in Hungary Per Bank comes in as UK commercial director for food as part of a shake up of senior management by incoming ceo Philip Clarke.

New UK ceo Richard Brasher has confirmed he will start his new role, after being promoted from UK commercial and trading director, in March.

Tesco’s head online retailing operations Laura Wade-Gery will now head up the UK non-food business in the role of commercial director for clothing electronics and general merchandise. Carolyn Bradley remains UK marketing director.

Noel Robbins will become head of retail operations and logistics for the UK while Tony Keohane, ceo of Tesco Ireland, will also join the UK board.

Kevin Grace, coo of Tesco Korea, will take up the role of property director, and UK finance director Mike Iddon will join the board as finance director, and Judith Nelson, international personnel director, will take the role of group personnel director.

Tesco is expected by analysts to have had a solid Christmas, although it is thought to have been adversely affected by the snow, the Financial Times reported.
