A major new UK conference showcasing the latest advances in retail technology will take place in Leeds.

ID-09 will be staged at the Royal Armouries, Leeds from March 9 -11. The conference will focus on the application of Automatic Identification and Data Capture technologies specifically in: the private sector, food, public sector, health and future technologies,

The role of technologies like barcodes, radio frequency identification and smartcards in revolutionising business efficiency will be examined at the event.

Speakers from supplier and consumer backgrounds will cover such subjects as changes in the high street, modern logistics, smartcards for local authorities and emerging technologies and applications.

ID-09 is organised by four of the country’s leading ID technology authorities - The European Centre of Excellence for AIDC, AIM UK, GS1 and Smartex - and will be the first event of its kind.

The exhibition is expected to attract more than 70 companies with state-of-the-art applications and solutions.
