Sweet Bite bagged for the German market

Pepper variety Sweet Bite, grown by Sulat in Israel and marketed by Agrexco, is on its way to supermarket chains in the UK, the Netherlands, Austria, Scandinavia and, from this year, Germany as well.

Sweet Bite is popular among children because of its high sugar level - brix of 9-11 -its small size and its rich orange colour. The pepper also contains high levels of vitamin C and beta-carotene and is usually marketed in a pack of five.

Sweet Bite is grown in temperature-controlled greenhouses and is protected by Bio-B biological extermination. The product is grown using heating and cooling techniques that enable early plantings and the crop to be picked all winter.
