Sun World has appointed grape specialist Agricola Don Ricardo (ADR) as its first grape producer-marketer licensee in Peru.
Ricardo Briceño and Rafael Ibarguren founded ADR in 1996 by and it is now managed by Ibarguren as operations manager and Alejandro Fuentes as the commercial and administration manager. ADR grows in the Ica Velley and is a leading exporter to the UK as well as other European countries, the US and Asian markets
World international licensing vice president at Sun World Johan Jooste said: “Our new Peruvian partner will be an excellent addition to the Sun World licensee network. I am confident that ADR’s professionalism and commitment to quality grape production and distribution will complement well our other southern hemisphere licensees in particular.”
Sun World's fruit licensing program involves more than 1,000 producers and marketing companies in most of the world's major fruit-growing regions. In addition to the appointment of ADR, Sun World has licensed grape marketers in Italy, Portugal, Israel, Chile, Australia, South Africa, Spain and Brazil.
