Spar has promoted Allan Maxted to the role of director of fresh and frozen foods.
Maxted has been performing his current role as head of fresh and frozen at SPAR since 2008, where he has managed a team of buyers responsible for branded and Spar own brand supply base across the category.
SPAR managing director Debbie Robinson said: “Allan is a passionate commercial manager and an integral part of the Spar team.
"His understanding of the category is unsurpassed and combined with his team management skills make him the ideal person to drive fresh and frozen foods in line with our strategy.”
Maxted has previously held buyer roles at Marks and Spencer and Tesco.
