Soretrac is increasing its warehousing and production facilities to an impressive 30,000 sq ft.

The Co. Durham based company will now be able to accommodate an expanding range and incorporate additional slitting capacity.

In addition to this, Soretrac has entered into an exclusive contract with Syfan films to distribute across the UK and Ireland.

Syfan manufacture a series of films called Sytec, including Sytec 701, a user-friendly, shrink film used for a wide range of packaging applications, and described as being particularly useful for the fresh produce market.

Another film in this range is Sytec RF4-AF, a unique anti-fog film developed for tray packing on automatic high-speed machines.

Md Phil Griffiths said: 'With the ever increasing range of films we offer along with demand for specialist food films rising, these new warehousing facilities will ensure that our customers receive the consistent high quality product and service that they have come to expect from Soretrac. It is this that has put us where we are now in the industry and it is where we intend to stay – at the forefront.' The new films complement Soretrac's existing range of food films, making it one of the Uk's largest suppliers in this market sector.
