Six East Malling Trust members leaving

Several members of the East Malling Trust (EMT) are stepping down.

The trustees leaving the horticultural research body are chairman Will Sibley, Steve Bodger, Brendan Finucane, Mark Hedderwick, Bobby Neame and Xinli Zhu.

John Mumford, professor of natural resource management at Imperial College London, the current vice-chair, was elected as the new chairman of the trust.

He said: “The trust is extremely grateful for all the hard work that Will Sibley and the departing trustees have put in to the organisation during their terms. The trust continues its commitment to support horticultural research and is working with East Malling Research and other partners to sustain the high-quality research at East Malling Research.”
