Packaging specialist Sharp Interpack has created a new soft-fruit punnet it describes as an “industry breakthrough”.
The SPS 85 soft-fruit punnet offers logistical benefits as 19 units can fit in a crate, or 18 with lids, and it is produced to the highest environmental standards. The packaging supplies the increasing demand for recycling assertion r-PET in fresh produce, with up to 80 per cent recycled content.
The new SPS comes with a heat seal option or with a flat lid, either plain or pre-labelled.
Sharp Interpack has a strong track record in heat-sealing soft fruit and is used by many of the major retailers.
Apart from being manufactured in the UK and supporting British jobs, additional benefits include a robust base for the most challenging packhouse conditions and a lid which suits higher pack speeds.
