Coldstorage service specialist Seven Refrigeration is buying 40 portable cold stores for delivery in the second quarter this year. Sales director Michael Kane said: “We are very conscious that our standard of equipment is paramount. The order for more 20-foot boxes allows us to also take advantage of a growing box sales market, which is perfect for disposal of our older stock boxes.”
The decision to purchase has come out of an in-depth review of the Seven business.
Kane said: “Like most businesses, Seven Refrigeration has been working hard at minimising the effects of the global economic downturn. Putting the business under the microscope to ensure that it operates as efficiently as possible in these challenging timesis an exhaustive but necessary evil to endure. It has enabled us to remain in a strong market position, yet we can still be competitive whilst continuing to invest.”
