To mark its second anniversary, Science Business publishing Ltd is launching an innovative and unprecedented tool to breathe fresh air and life into EU policy making. The Science Business Policy Bridge is its answer, as a media company, for how policy-making should be.

“The purpose of this new venture is to force new ideas and bring fresh thinking into the EU policy debate from every corner of Europe,” said Richard Hudson, ceo and editor of Science Business. “Moreover, it marks an urgent need to improve the way policy gets made in Brussels by connecting leaders in the worlds of industry, academia and policy - the big three - in hopes to fix the urgent problems that are holding Europe back in the global economy.”

A roundtable on "New Perspectives on Education and Skills for the 21st Century" will be held on November, 28, as first policy bridge event. Guest speakers will include Odile Quintin, director general for education and culture, European Commission.

The Science Business Summit, in May 2008, will be a broad conference on new models and policies to make university-industry collaboration a reality in Europe.
