Kevin Hawkins, will succeed Bill Moyes as director general of the British Retail Consortium on April 19. Hawkins joins the multiples’ trade body from Safeway where he has been director of communications for nine years. Before joining Safeway he was director of corporate affairs for the WH Smith group for six years.
Hawkins is familiar with the workings of the BRC as a member of its board of management since1997 and an active participant and past chairman of the BRC food policy advisory group.
