Nunhems variety Romance has been named best-tasting carrot of 2012 by the British Carrot Growers Association.
A total of 14 varieties from various carrot seed companies were in the running for the award.
Roland Koets, Nunhems’s international sales specialist, received the first prize on behalf of Nunhems – a bottle of 12-year old single malt whisky - and credited breeder Robert Oostveen for the victory.
