Brazil nuts from Bolivia

Ingredients specialist RM Curtis & Co has had to recall one of its snack lines due to the undeclared presence of Brazil nuts.

The company's 150g Snacking Essentials Fruit & Nut packs, with a best before date of March 2018, has been recalled as it contains Brazil nuts not mentioned on the label.

RM Curtis has recalled the product from its customers and contacted relevant allergy support organisations, which will in turn tell their members, according to the Food Standards Agency.

The supplier has also issued a point-of-sale notice to customers, which explains to shoppers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought it.

None of the company's other products are understood to be affected.
