Potatoes in Practice set for 2008

The British Potato Council (BPC) sponsored Potatoes in Practice will held at the Scottish Crop Research Institute’s (SCRI) Gourdie Farm, near Dundee, on August 7, 2008. The event, which attracted more than 600 growers, advisors, overseas visitors and industry representatives last year, will feature trials and demonstrations from the SCRI, Scottish Agricultural College (SAC) and CSC Potato Care.

SCRI is inviting companies to demonstrate their products in a field plot, the event’s marquee or outside the marquee.

Potatoes in Practice is a combination of the SAC and SCRI’s individual open days and, over seven years, it has become established as the premier outdoor potato event in Great Britain. Potatoes in Practice 2008 will start at 9.30am and finish at 4.30pm.
