Prepared salad specialist Freshtime has appointed Julia Pires as personal assistant to the company's senior team.
The 42-year-old has previously worked as a PA at Calor Gas and BBC Transmissions in Warwickshire, and most recently worked for 18 monthsas an apprenticeship assessor in Lincolnshire.
“I had been looking for a PA role in a fast-paced company when I saw this opportunity come up at Freshtime,” said Pires. “I was inspired by the innovation taking place in the heart of the country’s growing region and was eager to get involved.
“I’m keen to put my stamp on the role and mould it to the specific needs of the company. I’ve already begun reviewing some of the processes we have in place, to see if we can make improvements to aid efficiency.”
As well as supporting managing director Mark Newton with planning and diary management, Pires will work with the heads of departments across the company and liaise with suppliers in both the UK and abroad.
Newton said: “We’ve enjoyed a phase of steady growth over the last year and we’re keen to continue investing and make additions to our team. I’m delighted to welcome Julia to Freshtime and look forward to working with her on a number of projects as well as day-to-day activities.”
