Parripak ups exotic offer

Vegetable processor Parripak Foods is offering a new range of exotic mushrooms following interest from several manufacturers wanting to expand their premium product range.

After researching the bespoke mushroom area, exotic varieties such as the Horse mushroom, Pied Blue, King Oyster and Almond mushroom were sent to customers along with traditional favourites.

“Early indications show that there is a definite market for this specialist product range and there is particular interest from food manufacturers looking to produce restaurant style food products including pizzas, soups, oriental cuisine and global dishes,” said James Parrish, joint md.

The range is available from 3mm dice, slices, halves, quarters up to whole and washed.
