UK tray sealing and filling equipment leaders, Packaging Automation, is set to launch its latest product, the Fastfill 40, at this year’s PPMA show.

The company is using the Processing and Packaging Machinery Association’s annual event to exhibit the new machine: a high-quality, low-cost pot-filling and heat-sealing device.

Targeted at producers within the convenience sector, the Fastfill range can reach a production speed of 33 packs a minute. The range is also made up of removable stainless steel parts to maintain levels of hygiene.

Packaging Automation said the Fastfill 40 can easily accommodate different pot sizes and will pre-cut lids and film, as well as date them.

It can be used with both dry and liquid products, and can be hired by companies not wishing to purchase the machine outright.

Sam Ashton, commercial manager, said: “The launch of the Fastfill 40 is an exciting development and we're confident it will be of interest to many within the food industry. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our stand to find out more about it and the other machines on offer.”

Joining the Fastfill 40 at the show will be close relations the Fastfill 60; a high spec model for higher production speeds, and the Vision 400; offering oxygen flushing for fresh produce.
