Tesco could face disruption to Christmas supplies as it prepares for the possibility of strike action.
According to a report in The Times, managers of a logistics business will meet officials of the T&G at the conciliation service Acas this Wednesday (December 17) over a pay dispute at Tesco distribution centres.
Workers at the centres in Doncaster, South Yorkshire and Middleton near Manchester have rejected a 3.8 per cent pay offer from their employer Wincanton.
Tesco joins Sainsbury's in awaiting news of union negotiations. Both groups have expressed confidence that action would be covered by interim measures.
