The NFU is set to launch a new monthly magazine in response to popular demand.

Entitled British Farmer and Grower, the mag will combine authoritative coverage of the issues affecting agriculture and the countryside with a blend of local and national farming news.

Editor, Richard Clarke said: 'It's never been so important for farmers and growers to keep abreast of the latest developments in the fast moving agriculture industry. British Farmer and Grower magazine will keep them fully informed of the leading role the NFU plays in shaping the future of their businesses.' The magazine will carry in-depth features and hard-hitting columnists, replacing the fortnightly NFU Business as the primary vehicle for communicating with members.

The first edition will feature a report on the issues facing farmers on the fringes of urban areas - to be published on October 23.
