New identity for Pollybell

Multi award-wining Pollybell Organic Farm in North Lincolnshire has unveiled a new company identity, website and media relations campaign, heralding a new chapter in the life of the vegetable business.

The investment in brand development and communications signifies the company’s continuing commitment to quality organic production in the UK, supplying major multiples and foodservice customers.

Pollybell, which was recently named Organic Grower of the Year 2008 at the Grower Awards, is the organic farming business of the Brown family, who have been involved with farming in Lincolnshire for more than 120 years. They currently have 3,000 acres of farmland certified organic by the Soil Association and in conversion on the Isle of Axholme. The company began the organic conversion process in 1997.

The farm produces a wide variety of organic fresh produce, from larger quantities of broccoli, bunched carrots and cabbage to smaller volumes of bunched beetroot and celeriac, and has plans for new produce lines.

James Brown, director and the fifth generation of the family to be involved with the business, said: “Ours is a very modern farming business with a solid customer base that we are now keen to grow. I feel that our re-launch reflects our current position in the organic farming industry, and takes us forward to exciting times ahead.”
