Michael ‘Snow’ Hardy has been appointed a director of Pipfruit New Zealand, filling the role previously performed by Turners and Growers (T&G) managing director Jeff Wesley, who resigned from the post.
Snow is ceo of T&G group company Delica, and will become general manager of ENZA International in November. He joined Delica in 2001, when the New Zealand apple and pear industry was deregulated, and became ceo there when it became part of the T&G group in March 2007.
When announcing Hardy’s appointment as general manager of ENZA, Wesley said: “Snow brings valuable knowledge of apples, pears and the broader produce industry. He has strong relationships with the grower community, offshore markets and a sound understanding of the New Zealand export environment.”
